Pedro Gomes

The repository right now includes a Makefile that handles some basic scripts for setting up a bridge. Most importantly it allows to run make build to build a Docker image and make run to run a container using the same image.

There is still missing a way to update the already running container. When there are new changes in the repository a developer should be able to pull the latest changes, build a new image and run the latest image by replacing the already running container.

Docker documentation: https://docs.docker.com/

Task: In short, add make update script for replacing the running container with the latest image.

Acceptance Criteria:

  • Use develop branch to submit PR
  • Ability to run make build followed by make update to update running container
  • Ability to keep the state of the RedisDB of the running container with the new image
  • Ability to use the existing SSL certificates from running make update
